Fire & FreedomMINISTRIES

Faith. Skill. A way forward.

Second chances,
with fuel
behind them.

Second chances are God’s idea — and He puts fuel behind them. Fire & Freedom shows up in person, in the lives of people the world has written off, with faith, a skill, tools, and love that stays. Our first project: a trade school in Kisumu, Kenya.

More than a fresh start

A chance is stronger
when you’re equipped.

Starting over takes more than an open door. Our planned school brings training, practical resources, and community together, so students can build what comes next.

01 / LEARN

A skill to build on.

Hands-on training shaped around local work. Learn a craft through practice, with instructors who understand what employers need.

02 / EQUIP

Tools to get started.

The plan includes a tool kit for every graduate—or a sewing machine for tailoring—so training comes with something they can put to work.

03 / MOVE FORWARD

A pathway toward work.

Connections through Manna’s local relationships with contractors and shops, plus micro-enterprise support for those preparing to work for themselves.

This is the planned model for the new school. Course offerings, instructors, and program lengths are being finalized with Manna. Employment is not guaranteed.

Our first project · Kisumu, Kenya

A school for the
next chapter.

With Manna Ministries International, we’re preparing a school for people rebuilding their lives—including men leaving prison and girls and young women from vulnerable homes, including young mothers and girls who had to leave school.

Training is planned to be free for these core groups, with modest tuition for other local students who cannot afford university.

  • Carpentry
  • Metal work
  • Plumbing
  • Electrical
  • Tailoring
  • Hair & beauty
  • Computer skills

Eight proposed trades. Programs planned for 6–12 months.
Final offerings will reflect local demand and instructor availability.

Explore the school plan

One school. One campaign.

Build it fully.
Build it right.

The school goes up in phases, ground floor first — and no phase is built until it is fully funded: construction, plus three years of running it. Staff, food, power, all of it.

Our target is to break ground on the first phase in early 2027, subject to full funding and readiness. Nothing opens that can’t stay open.

The people we build with

Local roots.
Shared conviction.

Manna Ministries International will own and operate the school. Their team knows the community, the local relationships, and the work that is needed.

Trevor and Claire have served with Manna in Kenya. Fire & Freedom’s role is to raise support in the U.S. and provide accountable grants to help make the school possible.

with some fuel behind them.”

We serve because we have met the One who restores. Help is never conditional on a person’s religious response — love comes first, and it comes free.

Accountability

Our word on
every dollar.

Your trust deserves more than a promise. These are the controls our board adopted to guide the work from the beginning.

Read our commitments

A written agreement before funds move.

Every grant requires due diligence, board approval, and clear written terms.

Progress verified at each stage.

Construction grants are released against milestones, with evidence of the work completed.

Shared oversight.

Every foreign wire requires two signatures. Three of our five directors are independent.
