Our story

Faith that puts
something in your hands.

Fire & Freedom Ministries exists to put practical opportunity behind a second chance: faith, skill, tools, mentorship, and community.

Why Fire & Freedom began

Trevor Duffy founded Fire & Freedom Ministries in Spring Hill, Tennessee, with a conviction that help should equip a person for what comes next.

His background in construction makes the idea tangible: a skill matters. The tools to use it matter. So do the people who will teach you, connect you, and keep walking with you.

“I believe in giving second chances with some fuel behind them.”
— Trevor Duffy, Founder & President

The first project is a trade school in Kisumu, Kenya. It is an expression of a larger purpose: restoration that takes practical shape in people’s lives.

With Kenya’s own leaders

Trevor met Maurice, the founder of Manna Ministries International, during a mission trip to Africa. Trevor and Claire have served with Manna on the ground.

Manna serves communities in Kenya through ministry, education, and support for vulnerable people. Its team will own and operate the proposed school. FFM will raise support and oversee its grants through board-approved agreements and financial controls.

Christian in purpose. Unconditional in help.

Our ministry is rooted in the Christian faith and the restoration described in Isaiah 61:1. Prayer, discipleship, and the hope of the gospel are central to why we serve.

We also believe a person must be free to respond. Admission and assistance are never conditioned on conversion or religious response.

Kenya is the starting point.

The long-term vision includes practical help and men’s discipleship in Middle Tennessee, alongside future opportunities for training, mentorship, and restoration. These are areas we intend to develop as the ministry grows.

Today, our first major project is the Kenya trade school. We want to build that work with care and show you the progress as it becomes real.

The people responsible

FFM is governed by a five-member board, with three directors independent of the founder. Meet the board and read how the ministry is governed.

There is a place for you in this

Help put a future
within reach.

A skill. A set of tools. People who will walk alongside you. That is the kind of second chance we are working to build.
